Battlestar Galactica: “Daybreak Part 1″

I’d like to tell you I’ve come up with some smart thoughts on this one, but I won’t have time to process it fully for a couple of days at least — so instead, I’ve decided to wrap up all of “Daybreak” in one post next weekend. All I can say now is: I can’t think of anything I’d like more than to spend the next year learning more about who these people were “before the fall.” Because I still can’t bear the thought of letting them go after only two more hours.

Of course, feel free to leave a comment if there’s something you’d like to discuss now. I’m always up for talking.

OMG another Battlestar fan! I am slow though, and only view it after the fact. My kid's provide me with the season vidio. We play the Battlestar game on occasion, I usually loose. Other than battlestar we seem to have a "friend" in common.

What!?!?! You're going to keep your fans in suspense?!?! Crimany… your gonna have to break down and tell us something!? If I had a nickel for all the frakkin waiting I've done in this life time… =P

I suspect you'll live, Cap'n. But I need to connect this one to the end to come up with any kind of "analysis," (and I'm using that word as loosely as possible) because I don't think it stands very well on its own. Also, a lot of the writing was kind of shitty, for some inexplicable reason, and I want to put it together with Part 2, hoping the whole will surpass the sum of this part.

I LOVED seeing the Caprica stuff, and kept trying to convince myself that what we were seeing weren't actually flashbacks but a sort of parallel life stream that was going to lead them all to some other future. But that was just me dreaming, I guess.

    ok…. I'll live… but ONLY cause you gave me more tidbits… =)

    Kari,

Where is your take on Daybreak Part 2?

R.A. wrote a great piece full of his insight's and opinions on the finale, but I was also hoping I'd be able to read your BSG recap and personal thoughts as well.

    What's up?

  6. kgeltemeyer Says:

Doug, I just didn't have it in me for this one, so I left it up to R.A. I left the only thoughts I could verbalize as a comment in his fabulous review. Beyond that, I'm still a little speechless.

If you find that getting a new gadget is far beyond your means then you can get her accessories for the one that she already has. You could buy an attractive screen protector for her cell phone or by her some apps for her iPod. For a valentine gift to be romantic it has to be thoughtful.
